I did this for a demoparty in Norway a few months ago - great fun. People have commented that it resembles both Terminator 4 and Fallout 3, but I didn't really look at either of them - instead, I got some inspiration for the palette from terragalleria.com. It was painted from scratch in Photoshop CS3 using my trusty wacom intuos 3.
